In a sauce pan, medium heat turmeric powder, chilli powder, black pepper powder, coriander powder. Add grated coconut and stir well for at least 5 mins. Blend this with bit of water and salt.
Heat oil in a kadhai and add sliced onion and garlic. Stir well for 2-3 mins, sliced green chillies, ginger and tomato. Cook for 4-5 mins. Transfer the masala mix into kadhai. Add salt if required. Cook for 10-15 mins. Add water if required. Slice the egg into two pieces slowly put this into the gravy.
Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with roti, rice, etc
